The Bomkamps

Jim and I are originally from the Black Earth, Wisconsin area.  We became familiar with this area while traveling between UW-La Crosse [Denise] and UW-Madison [Jim].

After graduation and marriage [1990], we started looking for a place to call home. We traveled many miles of these beautiful coulees to find the perfect place. Jim found our current location and after going over every inch of the land on a very hot day, it was decided we had found our slice of heaven. Our dream of owning 100 acres of woods became a reality in 1993. We built our house in 1994 and now have 3 children, cats, and a dog to make it complete.

We have been living at our place now for 13 years.  We have stayed because of the beautiful scenery, the many good neighbors who have welcomed us over the years, the excellent education for our children, and overall great way of life in the Genoa/Viroqua area.  We really can’t imagine living anywhere else.
